MORNING LIVESTOCK FUTURES OUTLOOK
CATTLE COMPLEX
Cattle futures on Wednesday were actively bear spreading. Volume was moderate. There are a few spread traders moving October to December. Cattle were becoming slight oversold and some traders were taking quick profits.
Beef priced dropped as prices for the grind beef primals dropped, chucks, rounds, plates and flanks. It is likely demand for Labor Day is slowing and the push for 300,000 mt to get into the US are driving these primals lower. After all, bringing more imported beef into the US was to lower prices.

LEAN HOG COMPLEX
Trade volume has been light. Spreading is the majority of it, with October gaining on December and traders bear spreading into 2027.
As hog slaughter has been increasing and with beef prices moving down ,cash hogs and pork have been moving lower.
