MORNING LIVESTOCK FUTURES OUTLOOK
CATTLE COMPLEX
Beef buyers are being squeezed now for the top two products but after the holidays are over and big heavy weighted cattle are being moved, beef buyers will turn the coin around on the packers. Packers will need to lower prices for beef and cattle.
PORK COMPLEX
Lean hog open interest remains large. The question is how are traders going to carry positions into 2025. A clue is that hogs are bear spread. December lean hogs are $3.95 under February 2025 lean hogs and February is $4.15 under April.
